Texas A&M

No, not the school. WE are Texas A&M (Adam and Melanie...get it?)for the next two years. We are officially Texas residents, and I couldn't be more excited to be living in Dallas! We are loving the big sky, our little apartment, and the "yes ma'am"s and "sir"s, and we're happy that the summer heat has (hopefully) almost passed.

Adam wasn't staffed with a client for his first week of work, so he stayed home for the first two days, which meant Monday and Tuesday were filled with playing golf (I might actually kind of like it), eating ice cream, shopping for our new home using giftcards we still have from our wedding, unpacking, watching the Olympics, more unpacking, and feeling like we have nothing and everything to do at the same time! I was getting used to this getting paid for not having to go into work thing.

However, today was the day. Adam called me at 2:35 this afternoon to tell me the news: he'll be staffed in Milwaukee for the next 6 to 8 weeks every Monday through Thursday....which means weekends just got better. I'm really happy for him though and know he'll (of course) do great. He always does. He's excited to travel and to be working for real!

Tonight, we had our first long distance companionship prayer and scripture study. Thank goodness for cellphones. :)
